چکیده

The Internet has caused the advent of a digital society; wherein almost everything is connected and available from any place. Thus, regardless their extensive adoption, traditional IP networks are yet complicated arduous to operate. Therefore, there difficulty in configuring network line with predefined procedures responding load modifications faults through reconfiguring. current likewise vertically incorporated make matters far more complicated: control data planes bundled collectively. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) an emerging concept which aims change this situation by breaking vertical incorporation, promoting logical centralization control, separating logic basic switches routers, enabling programming. segregation concerns identified between policies network, implementation hardware switching forwarding essential flexibility required: SDN makes it less facilitates introduce new concepts networking issue into tractable parts, simplifies management facilitate development network. In paper, reviewed; introduces SDN, explaining its core concepts, how varies networking, architecture principles. Furthermore, we presented crucial advantages challenges focusing on scalability, security, flexibility, performance. Finally, brief conclusion revised.

New Networking Era: Software Defined Networking

The fundamental problem with traditional network architecture is that it is static. Users don’t have much controlling power and it is just trying to accommodate current networking needs of the user. Therefore which means window for innovation is too narrow with respect to network controlling, virtualization, automation, scalability, programmability and fault tolerance. A revolutionize network t...

ion allowing the control of low level behavior in switching devices. Such an approach could turn out to be beneficial, since it would simplify the deployment of new more efficient schemes for low level switch operations [20]. On the other hand, while moving all control operations to a logically centralized controller has the advantage of easier network management, it can also raise scalability ...

Improving Network Management with Software Defined Networking

Network Management is very challenging. The Maintenance, operating and providing a secured communication network is very complex. It requires the network operators to grapple low-level vendor specific configurations to implement the high level network policies which are complex. The rigidity of underlying infrastructure presents few possibilities of improvement or innovation, since network devi...

Panopticon: Incremental Deployment of Software-Defined Networking

Software-Defined Networking (SDN) has the potential to automate and radically simplify management of computer networks—today a manual, error-prone task. Many networks however, especially enterprise networks, face a deployment problem: How to migrate an existing network to SDN? SDN must be introduced incrementally to build confidence and respect infrastructure budget constraints. In this article...
